Unofficial farewell ceremony on the sunny island of Sylt "(!!!): Volker upright and his 21 fellow-sufferers and fellow-were eager to once again away together, with the bike! And not in a luxury hotel in Munich, but on a campsite in Rantum on Sylt! If we had known what lay before us, we would have made a different decision ... But more details later.
Tuesday, 8 June:

Just in time clock at 10:42, we boarded the 11 cars of the NOB, and there was surprisingly no problems here, because the train was relatively empty!

After a short train and even shorter bike ride time (with only a flat tire ...), we quickly reached our destination: Camp Rantum, located on the W side and - as we were able to quickly find a mosquito-paradise!

First approaches to the warm 14 degrees (or cold) with Water (... temperatures are indeed a very subjective feeling. ..).
Matthies, Melf and Kevin are still somewhat undecided, while Lena looks at first to some nice photo subjects.
But soon, all inhibitions were thrown overboard, and the first brave plunged into the waters, which were very quiet for Sylt conditions (Ostwind!) .
Also in the "base camp" you could make yourself comfortable, relax and unwind and enjoy the warm sunshine.

Back at the campsite was immediately with the preparation of (of course professionally prepared) started dinner, after the necessary equipment had been purchased in nearby Rantumer supermarket.

Of the evening activities, there are reasons of discretion, only a few photos or film footage. But that night was quite long, so that the number of sleep hours but remained relatively low ...

Wednesday, 9 June:
After extensive breakfast and final styling attempts (? ... Or did about Daniel's head hurt), the company was "Westerland" started. The weather was still quite reasonable, so that a relaxed beach day with appropriate activities nothing stood in the way.

And immediately we went to the various beach volleyball courts. Several teams of different levels pritschten, dredged and sounded grim at any point!

But other culinary hot spots were also tested for heart and kidney. Especially the crepes were very popular here.
But the loose-sand casual relaxation in Westerland was announced even more. And by the way every now and again a bit 'school ball!

Thursday 10 June:
6.00 Clock: Volker was already awake, still hoping that the rain would stop, but the opposite occurred. So had to be dismantled and packed, so after a very short time people and material weighed about 10 kg more than in the dry state in the most adverse conditions. But nevertheless it was all to be packed with mutual aid tents and wet as wet equipment and to store the bikes. Tim had no desire to take back to his tent home, so he discarded it on the spot! Fortunately, Friedrichsen family had returned to provided a chauffeur (as early as Tuesday), which could carry some luggage in the car to Bredstedter station. Again, thank you very much!
about the bike ride to Westerland station, just two comments: no breakdown and no dry clothes or body parts more!
Fortunately we were able to take a train before, so that all safely at 10:22 clock, but were totally soaked take on the train to Bredstedt place!

All in all, a beautiful but memorable finishing high school, the 10d! I have really enjoyed this tour, and I will certainly keep long be remembered!
